Active Listening – I am of value, I am significant!

With all our relationship, we’re asked to be present and show active listening. What does it mean?

Active listening is placing value to the other person.

For those holding a leadership role, it’s all about letting go of your ego. It’s not about you, be present in the moment to listen (meaning be silent) to allow a space for others to truly express themselves without fear. Your staff just wanted to be heard which actually means they want a moment of recognition for who they are as a worker and as a person.

Leaders in the workplace craves for the same value. They wanted to be heard to place value to you.

So, how to bridge their needs to yours towards a common goal? It’s all about letting go of your ego! True to any relationships.
